Special (Blue Fern Studios)

Hi,

I'm sharing my last layout for Blue Fern Studios.

Special

My last layout features on of my favorite pictures of my daughter. Isn't she cute?

My background paper is called Newsworthy and it is from the Autumn Anthology collection. I chose it for its neutral colors. I added a little bit of color to the bird above, to help him match my layout. A light touch of white gesso helped to see all the details.

My layout is based on the Chelsea Medallion chipboard piece. I LOVE this piece! I embossed it with three colors of embossing powder: Fern, Cerulean and Azure.

To add a bit of interest below my picture, I layered two pieces of the Leafy Page Accents over my medallion. They were embossed with the same three powders as well as white gesso.

Lastly, my title piece, part of the «Perfect, Adorable, Special», was left raw, as it helped to bring the background color back into the layout.

I hope my layout inspired you. Have a nice crafty day.

Famille (Blue Fern Studios)

Hi,

I'm sharing today my second layout for Blue Fern Studios.

Famille

My second layout is more subtle. I used the Song paper from the Timeless collection. I love its colors.

My composition is based on the Aloha Flowers chipboard, which I painted with white gesso and covered with mist.

I also added the Chelsea Vines, that were coloured the same way.

You can see, in the background, that I used the Vintage Edges stamp with brown ink to add texture to my layout.

My title piece, part of the French Words set, was also altered with mists over gesso.

Come back again tomorrow to see my third share.
Have a nice day.

Giggle (Blue Fern Studios)

Hi there,

It's my turn today on the Blue Fern Studios blog.

Giggle

My layout features the beautiful Frolic collection. I used the Friendship paper. I just can't believe how cute those little birds are. I think I have 6 or 7 copies of this paper! I love it!

I used modeling paste and a stencil to add texture on my background. Then, I glued thorn doilies with gel medium. Over that, I adhered dry wall tape. When everything was dry, I added my colors.

I layered parts of the Damask Panel underneath my picture and my flowers. I covered it with Snow embossing powder. While the powder was still hot, I sprinkled a little bit of Bonny Blue embossing powder and melted it again.

My title piece, part of the «Funny, Giggle, Smile» set, received the same treatment. I adhered it on top of my picture.

Have a nice day.

Prima DT Call

Hi,

I hope this post finds you well. Last year, I applied to be a part of the Prima DT and I was lucky enough to be invited as a Guest Designer for December. When I saw their call for a 6 month DT this week, I didn't have to think long before I decided to apply again. I just LOOOOOOVE all Prima products.

So here are my favorite Prima layouts from the past few months.

#Boy

The first one, I made for Flying Unicorn.

I used the Tales of You and Me Notre Jardin Secret paper, which I cut in half and mounted on a chipboard, flipping the top part upside down. This allowed me to hide the face on top of the paper because it didn't fit my boy layout.

Over that, I used some of the 4x6 journaling cards as long as the Wood Variety from the Tales of You and Me collection.

Some of the flowers are from the Tales of Us package.

I used Bronze micro beads from Finnabair.

Amour

My second layout also features the Tales of You and Me collection.

I started out with the beautiful Jardin de Fleurs paper.

I did a textured background with doilies, modeling paste and the Poppies 6x6 stencil.

I used the beautiful Moi aussi, Je t'aime flowers to embellish my layout.

Together

My third layout features the so pretty Royal Menagerie collection.

My background paper is the Queen for the Day paper on which I used the Décor stencil with modeling paste. I also used the Royal Menagerie clear stamp 1 and the sponge stamp from Finnabair.

I used mainly the Mary and Caroline flowers to embellish my layout.

To add a little sparkle, I used the Say It in Crystals that came with the collection.

To mat my picture, I used some of the 3x4 journaling cards as long as some Resist Tags from Royal Menagerie.

Together is my favourite place to be

Another layout with Royal Menagerie. My background paper is the Bicycle for Two paper.

Again, on this layout, I used the Décor stencil with modeling paste. I also used the Royal Menagerie clear stamp 1 and the sponge stamp from Finnabair to add some texture.

I used what I had left of my Caroline and Mary flowers, as long as some Rhodante white flowers.

I did a video tutorial, for this layout.

Nothing beats a father's love

My last layout features the Florence paper from the Vintage Emporium collection.

I used a lot of Prima flowers on this one amongst which some Sandstone and Puccini (Vintage Emporium) flowers. I also used some Metal Patina Trinkets Stoked Leaves.

To mat my picture, I used one of the 3x4 journaling card.

Again, I used my favorite bronze micro beads.

So... Fingers crossed!

Thanks for passing by!
