A Christmas to Remember (2Crafty Chipboard)

Dear Crafty friends,

My second layout for 2Crafty this month is called a Christmas to Remember. This will be my last share for 2Crafty, as I decided to step down from this team. Thanks so much Vanessa and the 2Crafty crew: this adventure was so much fun! My layout is called A Christmas to Remember.

Don't you love the little angel face of my boy on that picture? He was so little!

I wanted to create something with lots of snowflakes. I chose to use two sets of the Fine Snowflakes. I embossed them again with silver embossing powder.

I then added the Holly Twig branches in my embellishments clusters.

I painted those pieces with an acrylic paint with a metallic finish.

I love how they fit within the layout while having a different more subtle finish.

My title piece is the A Christmas to Remember piece, embossed with silver embossing powder.

I placed it on the right side of my picture.

A few flowers and embellishments to tie everything together.

Noel (2Crafty Chipboard)

Dear crafty friend,

This month is my last month for the 2Crafty team. I'd like to share my first layout for this farewell month. It is called Noel.

The first piece I selected for this layout is the Holly Flourish. I think it's by far my most favorite Christmas chipboard: it's so elegant!

I decided to emboss it with a silver embossing powder, to make it pop against my red background.

I then selected the beautiful Pointed Ornament Set.

I emboss the pieces with three colors of embossing powders: red, silver and black, making sure the bottom piece was in a contrasting color from the top one. I love all the details of those chipboards.

My title piece is from the Christmas Mini Words Set 2. I embossed it again with silver embossing powder.

With this layout, I would like to enter the Lime Citron challenge for December. Here is the moodboard:

I was inspired by the Christmas element requirement (my ornaments), the stars that were required and by two colors from the color combo: red and black. Of course, I used three beautiful flair badges from Lime Citron.

Have a nice day.

A steampunk deer (Prima)

Dear crafty friends,

I'd like to share with you my home decor project created with lots of Prima Marketing goodies.

I began by altering a bit the background of my canevas with modeling paste through a stencil.

Next step was tracing my deer shape on my canevas and gluing a ton of mechanical pieces to fill the shape.

Covering everything with black heavy gesso was next.

After that, I played with metallique paints and waxes to highlight all the details and texture from my canevas. I love the result.

Two cards for Prima Marketing

Dear crafty friends,

I'm here today to share two cards I created for Prima. I used the beautiful Sweet Peppermint collection by Frank Garcia.

I love the soft color palette from this collection. It's different from the traditional red and green color combo.

I chose two chipboards from the Chipboards & More pack from the collection as the main focal point of my cards. I love the sweet vintage images.

Of course, I had to embellish with flowers! All flowers come from the Sweet Peppermint flowers pack.

To complete the look, I also used Art Ingredients: Silver and Blush Micro Beads as long as Art Stones and Mini Art Stones

On each one of my card, I used an Accent Scrapbooking flair badge. I would like to enter the challenge they propose on their Facebook group, as the colors of my cards fit perfectly with their moodboard. Here it is.

Believe in Magic (7 Dots Studio)

Dear crafty friends,

I'm here today to share a layout I created for 7 Dots Studio.

I started with the Dreamscapes 9mm 12x12 paper.

On it, I created a mixed media background using inks, pastes and sprays.

I also used the Hazy Days Clear Stamps, the Dreamscapes Clear Stamps and the Thoughts Keeper Clear Stamps with black ink.

For my paper cluster, I used papers from the Dreamscapes 6x6 Pad and tags from the Dreamscapes 12x12 Tags.

To embellish my layout, I used the Dreamscapes 6x12 Word Stickers, the Dreamscapes Die-cut Elements 6x12 and the Dreamscapes Element Stickers 6x12.

I also used a few flowers.

And one of the UmWowStudio Dreamscapes Tell Tall Tales Flair.

Spread your Wings (7 Dots Studio)

Dear crafty friends,

I'm here today to share a video tutorial I created for 7 Dots Studio. I couldn't resist using the brand new Paint Chips collection. Dee Dee created magic once again!

I chose the beautiful Nightshade 12x12 paper.

I created a mixed media background using the Hatched stencil and some graphite texture paste.

I also used the Paint Chips Clear Stamps with black ink and with gold embossing powder.

I created a paper cluster with papers from the 6x6 pad and tags from the 12x12 Tags.

I decorated my layout with flowers and flair badges.

I also added a few chipboard pieces from 2Crafty Chipboard.

I used the Paint Chips 6x12 Element Stickers and the Paint Chips 6x12 Die-cut Elements, to add some yellow around my cluster.

My title comes from the Northern Lights 6x12 Word Stickers sheet. I thought the colors matched pretty well my layout.

I filmed my process for you to see it.
