Hello (2Crafty Chipboards)

Dear Crafty Friends,

I'm here today to share my second layout for 2Crafty Chipboards. It is called "Hello".

Hello

I used a lot of chipboards on this layout. To make sure they fit together, I painted them all black, except for the title. I began with the Film Strips - Small and the Film Strips - Medium.

I added a piece of the Grid Panel below my picture.

I also decided to add pieces of the Checkerboard Clumps, here and there.

Finally, my title piece, the "Hello" title, is embossed with gold embossing powder.

I made a process video. I hope you'll enjoy it.

Family (7 Dots Studio)

Dear Crafty Friends,

I'm here today to share the layout I created for the new 7 Dots Studio challenge called "My favorite person/hero".

I used the beautiful Dreamscapes collection for this layout. I chose this picture of my father with my son because I think it shows exactly what kind of man my father is. He sacrificed so much for his family. Life wasn't always easy when I was young, but I always felt loved.

Here are some details pics.

The title piece comes from the Arrow Word Set 2, from 2Crafty Chipboard.

I created a process video. I hope you'll enjoy it.

A Glimpse of You (2Crafty Chipboard)

Dear Crafty Friends,

I'm up, today, on the 2Crafty Chipboard blog to share a layout I created based on the Mixed Media Place moodboard. I fell in love with those colors!

I wanted to use a few leaves and branches on that layout. I used the Spring Flower Bunches and Leafy Twig Branches above and below my picture.

I left all my chipboards bare, as I liked the contrast.

To frame the picture, I used the Frame Round Ornate.

My title piece is called A Glimpse of You.

In my embellishments, I chose to add just a little pop of red, just like the bird on the inspiration board.

Love (Words & Paintery)

My dear crafty friends,

It's the middle of the month and it means it's time for another challenge over at Words & Paintery. This month, the challenge was hard for me, as I'm not usually drawn to bright colors. Here is what I came up with.

Here is the inspiration board.

And some close-ups picture.

My chipboards are from 2Crafty Chipboard: Arrow Word Set 2 and Pointed Doily Frames.

You have until August 14th to enter the challenge. Come join us!

Pretty as a Picture (Shimmerz Paints)

My dear crafty friends,

I'm up again today on Shimmerz Paints blog to share another layout. This one is called Pretty as a Picture. Here it is.

When I started my layout, I used crackled paint. When the paint was dry, I sprayed Don't Be Suede Coloringz over it and wiped it off to make the crack show. You can see the subtle result on the picture below.

I thought that was pretty, but I wanted to add more texture. I used my Gold Mine Texturez and scraped some off here and there with a palet knife.

I then made some drops with Tuscan Sun Spritz and a paint brush. I used a bit of water in some places to vary the effect.

When that was dry, I took again my Don't Be Suede Coloringz and created little drops here and there, to add contrast.

I did the same with Egg Noggin' Vibez and sprayed a little bit of water. I wanted a soft and subtle effect.

My chipboards are from 2Crafty Chipboard: Maggie's Swirls and Pretty as a Picture title piece.

My inspiration came from the gorgeous Mixed Media and Art challenge going on right now. Here is the board that inspired me. Of course, I was inspired by the color, but also from the peeled and crackled paint and the sketch, that I moved a bit more in the center.

Admit One (7 Dots Studios)

Hi there,

Today is my first post on the 7 Dots Studio blog. I'm so happy to be joining this team! Working with such great products and with such talented ladies will be an honor for me.

Here is the layout I created for my 7 Dots Studio first share.

I started my layout with the Twilight paper from the new Hazy Days collection. I loved the colors on this paper and that was the main inspiration of my layout.

After a coat of clear gesso, I spread modeling paste through the Hazy Days Chevron Stencil. I then used sprays and ink to add some color to my background.

To add more texture, I used the beautiful stamps from the Hazy Days Clear Stamps set

For my paper cluster, I used two papers from the 6x6 Hazy Days paper pad. I also used three tags from the Hazy Days Tags 12x12.

Here and there, I used some Element Stickers 6x12 and some Die-cut Elements 6x12

I also used some Word Stickers here and there on my layout.
