Love (Words & Paintery)

Dear crafty friends,

It's May 15th, which means it's time to share my monthly layout for Words & Paintery challenge blog. This month, we have a very soft color combo. Strangely, it inspired me to use a dark background to make everything pop. Here is my layout.


And look at those pale and soft colors I had to work with.


I love how the dark background anchors everything.


Almost everything on this layout is from Prima Marketing, except some flair badges (Accent Scrapbooking), the chipboard title (2 Crafty Chipboard) and some die-cuts.

Dreamer (Prima Marketing)

Dear crafty friends,

Today is Mother's Day inspiration on the Prima blog. I had to create something and this is what I was inspired to do.



Being a mother myself for 8 and a half years now, I realize all the sacrifices my mother had done for my brother and me. She gave up working to be at home for us and I will forever be grateful for her presence and her love. She thought me so much! I’m so lucky to have her in my life and that my kids get to know her. I had to honor her in this layout. 


I chose the beautiful Havana collection because I thought that the colors were perfect to showcase my mothers picture.


I created a mixed media background with texture paste and mists colors.


I just love the bright green agains the soft pink. It's so fresh.


I really love this layout, and I really hope my mother will like it too. I love you, mom!

An Altered Brush - Instagram Hop (Prima Marketing)

Wild at Heart (7 Dots Studio)

Dear crafty friends,

I'm up on the 7 Dots Studio blog today with this layout.

I decided to revisit one older collection while waiting for the new ones (aren’t they gorgeous?!) to arrive. 

I picked my favourite: Fortune Teller. 

I just love everything about this collection: the colors, the texture, the images…

I think I went a bit too far with the height on this one! I sure won’t be able to put this one in an album!




I created a video tutorial for you to see my process. 

I based my creation on the Mixed Media Place moodboard, which is gorgeous.

Favourite (Prima Marketing)

Dear crafty friends,

 We have a flowers inspiration today over on Prima's blog. I created this layout.


Of course, my all time favorite Prima product is flowers! They are always so gorgeous, with all those colors and shapes. We always have something that fits our layouts or projects. 




The hard task is always to choose! For this layout, I chose some beautiful pink and pastel yellow roses to frame my picture of my kids.
