Capture the memories (Mixed Media and Art challenge)

Dear crafty friends,

I had some free time (yeah, really!!), so I decided to create a layout for the April challenge from Mixed Media and Art. The board is, as they always are, GORGEOUS!

I was inspired by the beautiful shades of blues and by the sketch.

I used the beautiful Hazy Days collection by 7 Dots Studio, along with the geometry stencil from the Dreamscapes collection. I love this stencil. (If you follow me regularly, you already know, as I use it on more than half of my layouts!)

Of course, I had to use flowers. I selected a variety of Prima flowers to frame my picture.

This frame is also from Prima (Memory Hardware).

I really hope you like my layout.
Have a great day.

A Steampunk-ish Canvas with a video tutorial (Prima Marketing)

Dear crafty friends

It's been a busy week for me. I'm back again to share a canvas I created with a video tutorial.

I wanted to try something different than my usual layouts.

I went for a 8x10 canvas with a steampunk-ish feel to it.

I’ve picked my favorite colors of Art Alchemy Metallique Paints and waxes and created this piece.

I’m pretty proud of it and I really hope you’ll like it.

I made a process video for you to watch.

Supplies:
8X10 canvas

I hope you like it.

Have a nice day.

A Beachy Themed Canvas (Prima Marketing)

Dear crafty friends,

We had a summertime fun inspiration over at Prima earlier this week. Take a look at what the team created! There is so much to see!

I’m so looking forward to the summer vacations and some time on the beach! I thought since I can’t go right now, I might as well create something that will remind me of good times spent there each time I look at it.

I created this canvas with the new Santorini collection. This blue striped paper just screams beach and ocean to me.

Supplies:

I hope you like it as much as I do.

Have a nice day.

Love, Color Challenge Layout (Prima Marketing)

Dear crafty friends,

I love color challenges. It forces me tu combine collections and mix things I wouldn't have mixed in the first place.

This is what I created for the Color Challenge over on Prima's blog. You should really take a look at what my team mates had created: they are so crazy talented. Here is the color combo:

What a gorgeous color combo! Aqua is my all time favorite color. And paired with a purple or lavender shade, it can only lead to something magical.

I chose this picture of my daughter to go with this color combo, as I think it fits her sweet face.

List of supplies:

I really hope this color challenge inspires you.

You Are my Sunshine (Words & Paintery)

Dear crafty friends,

I'm here today to share my monthly layout for Words & Paintery, as today is the 15th and it's time for a new challenge.

I used the Heaven Sent II collection by Prima along with some elements from the Lost and Found collection by 7 Dots Studios to match the color combo of this month.

I must admit I had a really hard time incorporating this bright green with those soft pastels! I just didn't seemed right at the beginning.

I thought of leaves, under the flowers, to incorporate the green on the layout.

And when the leaves were in place, I kept adding a little green touch here, and another right there until I was pleased with the way it looked.

Like always, Marie has a challenging combo that pushed me out of my comfort zone. Come play with us at Words & Paintery. You have until May 14th to enter.

Have a nice day.

Tu es unique (7 Dots Studio)

Dear crafty friends,

It’s my turn to share my monthly layout for 7 Dots Studio. For this layout, I wanted to create something sunny and bright. I thought of yellow, and went for the Dreamscape collection.

I selected the Twinkle paper. I created a mixed media background with the new Plaster Paste from Prima and the Wonky Halftone Stencil from the Lost And Found collection.

I selected a bright blue paint (the Deep Water Metallique paint from Art Alchemy line, by Finnabair) to color over that pattern, and once dry, I stamped with the Lost And Found clear stamp with blue ink and with Paint Chips clear stamps in brown ink.

I then used the Dreamscapes 6x6 paper pad and a tag from the 12x12 tags to create a photo mat.

After that, I embellished with flowers and with the Dreamscapes Die-cut Elements 6x12 and Element Stickers 6x12.

I used a lot of Prima flowers from the St. Tropez line, along with some Ephemeras from the same collection. I also used some pebbles from their Melange jar. I painted the bottom with my blue paint before sticking them down. A also added my staples: some Mini, regular and Mega Art Stones. I just love the texture!

One strip of the Dreamscapes Word Stickers 6x12 and a flair from the Oh So Dreamy Flair from UmWow complete my layout.

7 Dots Studio Supplies:
Dreamscapes - Word Stickers 6x12
Lost And Found - Wonky Halftone Stencil
Lost And Found - Clear Stamps

I really hope you like my layout.
Have a nice day.
