I have a project to share with you today. I created it for the Pinspiration day on Prima's blog.
I love Pinterest, as anything can light up that sparkle of creativity.
The first sparkle came from this pin: https://www.pinterest.ca/pin/456904324687770663/
It reminded me of a Hobbit hole! Imagination was already in full bloom! I am such a fan of LOTR or fantasy literature.
I wanted to use lots of nature-inspired elements. For that, I used real bark pieces, lots and lots of leaves, some moss, and a little bird!
I couldn't decide which shade of green Art Alchemy Metallique paint to use, so I decided to use nearly every one of them! I LOVE the background it created over my masked pattern.
To embellish, I didn't use any flowers, which is rare for me! I used all kinds of leaves. Prima has a wide variety of leaves to inspire you!
A few chipboard pieces, some jute cording, some branches... LOTS of texture!
I even dug out old metal leaves from my treasure box...
I love how everything came together on that canvas piece celebrating nature!
I hope you like it.
