Moment (Blue Fern Studios)

Hi,

I completely forgot to show you my layouts for Blue Fern Studios for February and March! So in the next few days, I'll show them to you.

This first one is called Moment.

I used the Fascination paper from the Serendipity collection as my background. My composition is entered around the Ornate Frame, which I embossed with brown embossing powder . While the powder was still hot, I sprinkled some glass glitter.

My title piece is part of the French Words set. I painted it with white gesso first, and added some mist after. To make it pop a little bit, I added a few touches of white gesso.

I used exactly the same products to alter my Floral Lattice Bits.

To add texture to my background, I used the Forever stamps set.

#Boy (Flying Unicorn)

Quand j'ai reçu mon kit de Flying Unicorn, j'ai tout de suite eu envie de travailler avec la branche avec des petites billes de bois dessus. C'est ce qui m'a inspiré la page suivante. 

Hi,
When I received my kit from Flying Unicorn, I wanted to play immediately with the branch with wooden balls. It's what inspired my last layout.

J'ai utilisé des découpes de chipboard et de bois sous mon assemblage de papiers: une carte postale et une carte de bingo. 
I used some chipboard and wooden die cuts (a postcard and a bingo card) underneath my paper cluster. 

J'ai découpé des papillons dans la feuille de découpes de Studio 75. J'ai d'ailleurs choisi les couleurs de ma page à partir de ces papillons et de la branche.

I cut butterflies from the die cut paper from Studio 75. This is, with the branch, what helped me choose my colors.

J'ai aussi collé des petites notes de musique en métal recouvertes de gesso et d'encre pour s'harmoniser à la page. J'ai appliqué le même traitement à mon embellissement «live love laugh».

I also glued some metallic music notes that I covered with gesso ans sprays to match my layout. I did the same with the «live love laugh» metal embellishment.

Excepté la dentelle, les encres en spray et les microbilles, tout provient du kit. 

Except the lace, the sprays and the microbeads, everything comes from the kit.

Herre is my second layout created with the April's Your Passion Your Art kit from Flying Unicorn.

J'ai utilisé les découpes de Studio 75 comme base pour choisir mes couleurs. J'ai détouré les fleurs pour en faire des embellissements.
I used the die cuts elements from Studio 75 as a base for my color scheme. I fussy cut the flowers to use them as embellishments.

Le titre est de Heidi Swapp et provient de mon matériel personnel.
The title piece is from Heidi Swapp and comes from my own stash.

Nothing Beats a Father's Love (Shimmerz)

I'm sharing today my first monthly creation for Shimmerz Paints. Here it is:

J'ai utilisé deux couleurs pour mon arrière-plan: Don't Be Suede et Well Blue Me Down Coloringz. J'avais envie de couleurs vibrantes mais sans effet iridescent pour une page toute masculine.

I used two colors for my background: Don't Be Suede and Well Blue Me Down Coloringz. I wanted flat yet vibrant colors for a masculine layout.

Mon titre est le résultat de plusieurs étapes plus ou moins fructueuses. J'ai commencé par l'embosser, mais je n'aimais pas la couleur. Par la suite, je l'ai peint, mais la couleur choisie était trop caramel: elle ne s'agençait pas bien avec le reste de la page. J'ai donc vaporisé le Coloringz Don't Be Suede par dessus tout ça, afin de parvenir à ce résultat. J'aime beaucoup toute la texture.

My title piece is the result of a few steps that didn't all went as planned. At first, I embossed it, but I didn't like the color. Next, I painted it, but the color was too warm, too caramel: it didn't fit with the rest of the layout. I decided to spray Don't Be Suede Coloringz on top of everything. I love the result: full of texture!

Les papiers, le chipboards avec des papillons, les fleurs et le masque proviennent du kit.
The papers, butterfly chipboard, flowers and stencil came in the kit.

My April OTP project (Flying Unicorn)

Je vous présente aujourd'hui mon objet altéré pour Flying Unicorn. J'ai utilisé le porte-chandelle en grillage du kit, des fleurs, de la dentelle et des embellissements de bois. J'ai tout vaporisé au gesso blanc et j'ai ensuite ajouté de la couleur avec des encres en vaporisateur. Voici le résultat.

I'm sharing today my off the page project for Flying Unicorn. I use the candle holder, flowers, lace and wood embellishments that all came in the kit. I sprayed everything with white gesso and when dry, I sprayed some light pastels mists. Here is the result.
